Benjamin Kuntz

was born in 1985, and grew up in Vechta, a town in Lower Saxony. He studied health communication and public health at the University of Bielefeld, where he also earned his PhD as a “Doctor of Public Health” in 2014. Since 2011, he has worked as a research assistant at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Berlin, and since 2021 in the museum of the RKI. He also works as a research assistant at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine at the Charité—Universitätsmedizin Berlin. His current project there is titled “GeDenkOrt.Charité—Social Responsibility in Science”. He is a member of the German Association for Medical Sociology (DGMS), the German Association for Social Medicine and Prevention (DGSMP) as well as the Berlin Association for the History of Medicine.
