Vera Trnka

born in 1946 in Prague. Studied chemistry at the KU Prague, followed by a doctorate in biochemistry at the University of Heidelberg. Retired in 2013 after activity in research and teaching, she still volunteers at the library of the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies and writes for the monthly newspaper of the Czech and Slovak Jewish community, “Rosh Chodesh” in Prague as well as for the Jewish Yearbooks of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic.
