Charlotte Wolff (1897-1986) studierte Medizin und erlebte die spannenden 20er Jahre in Berlin. Dort arbeitete sie in der Schwangerschaftsvorsorge. 1933 musste sie auf Grund ihrer jüdischen Abstammung fliehen, erst nach Frankreich, dann nach England. Sie forschte auf dem Gebiet der psychologischen Handlesekunst und später hauptsächlich in der Sexualwissenschaft, speziell forschte sie zur Psychologie der lesbischen Liebe und der Bisexualität.
